Meet The Candidate

Philip grew up on a hobby farm in rural Ontario.  Philip was raised to understand the value of hard work and to respect traditional Canadian values.  

Philip graduated from university with degrees in Political Science (BA), Law (LL.B.) and masters in business administration (MBA). His career has included private legal practice and working for one Canada’s largest financial institutions. Presently, he manages the Durham Region for that financial institution and leads a team of over 50 financial professionals.  Philip speaks regularly on Financial Planning at meetings and conferences, including LAMP international in 2017. 

Philip is married to Natasha Lawrence, a health care professional. They live on a farm in Orono, Ontario and have two children, James (age 5) and Margaret (age 3). He is a member of the Newcastle Lions Club, a Director in the Northumberland-Peterborough South Conservative Party riding association and attends church in Cobourg.

Philip has a lifetime of political experience, having contributed to municipal, provincial and federal campaigns. Philip believes in fiscal responsibility and his number one priority is economic growth and job creation in our riding. 

Philip is an experienced leader in business, has decades of political experience and is a dedicated conservative. He will work tirelessly to make life better for the people of Northumberland-Peterborough South.
